Since 1909, the International Youth Hostel Federation (IYHF) has been providing travellers of all ages, safe, clean, comfortable and affordable accommodations.  Today, Hostelling International is the world's largest budget accommodation provider with over 4,200 hostels in 80 countries.  Each year, over 45 million guests take advantage of this extensive network of hostels and travel service providers to learn about local cultures, enhance appreciation of our environment and to meet people from other countries around the world.

As a member of the IYHF, Hostelling International Canada is a not-for-profit Association with a mission: "To help all, especially the young, gain a greater understanding of peoples, places and cultures through hostelling."
