Originally functioning as a prison from 1862-1972 the Hi-Ottawa Jail Hostel had a long history of mistreating its inmates before it became the comfortable and friendly hostel you see today ? that's 110-years' worth of accumulation of disgruntled past residents who still insist on hanging around.
