Getting Here
Calgary is only a plane ride away from most North American and European destinations. Rent a car, van or recreational vehicle and design your own adventure. Or for something unique, take a vintage rail car through the Canadian Rockies or climb aboard a prairie steamer. The all-weather, four lane Trans-Canada Highway from Calgary to Canmore and Banff townsites will get you there in under 90 minutes.

For visitors who prefer to drive, there is incredible landscape and scenery from all directions!  From the flat prairies to the east, badlands and coulees to the north, mountains to the west and the rolling foothills where the plains and the Rockies meet in the south and west; there is different landscape on all sides of Calgary.  The drive from Calgary to the Canadian Rockies is unforgettable!
