Vancouver Canucks Hockey Nights at HI-Vancouver!
The 2011-2012 NHL hockey season is here and at Hostelling International - Vancouver that's a big deal! NHL tickets are available for sale at the front desk. When you get your ticket, join the rest of the hockey fans for beers and a lesson in 'Hockey 101' before heading down to the stadium. We'll tell you all you need to know about the rules and culture of hockey, while our friends at Johnnie Fox's Irish Snug will get you in the right spirit with their beer and burger deal. You get a pint of 1516 Okanagan Lager and a tasty burger for just $8.95! (Of course, you've got to be at least 19 years of age for the beer thing...)
There are 3 different types of games: regular, feature and premium. Regular price games are $65, feature are $75 and premium games are $85. All prices include tax and are a savings on the stadium prices in which taxes and fees are added to those costs. Additionally, guests recieve a further discount of $10 per ticket, so while you are staying at the hostel, you will only pay $55, $65 and $75 for tickets. Feature games are listed in italics and Premium games are listed in bold. Tickets are sold only in person at our front desk and are generally available about two months in advance. All games begin at 7pm except Sunday games which start at 6pm and the other noted exceptions. The Hockey 101 group meets an hour and a half before the game starts except for the game at 1pm on Saturday October 22, for which the 101 starts at 12noon.
