CamPbellton - the gate to the Atlantic Region

Campbellton is the entry point to Atlantic Canada set amid the Appalachians one of the world's oldest mountain ranges which allows for a spectacular view at any time of the year.

A stroll along the City's waterfront is highlighted by Restigouche Sam, the "World's largest Salmon" ~28 foot (8.5 m) tall Atlantic Salmon - a shiny, larger-than-life stainless steel sculpture presiding over his own pool and waterfalls.  Hardly a visitor leaves without stopping to grab his picture.

There is a Provincial Visitor Information Centre, a water park, gift shop, kiosks that display local crafts and assorted souvenirs and one of Atlantic Canada's most complete recreational facility, the Regional Memorial Civic Centre.  You may also want to take a leisurely walk throughout the town and visit the numerous murals that depict much of our culture.  You may want to also visit the Restigouche Gallery  which has a permanent Athol House exhibit devoted to the regions' three founding cultures: Scottish, Acadian and Mi'gmaq and where they always have an on-going exhibit that should peak your interest.

Cambellton Salmon Festival

One of the highlights of the year in Campbellton is the annual Salmon Festival.  This year, it runs from June 29th to July 6th and includes a parade, amusement park, great bands, salmon supper and family oriented events.

On August 1, 2 & 3 come join us at the Campbellton Bluegrass for a full weekend of the best Bluegrass music found in Atlantic Canada. Thousands of Bluegrass lovers come from all over to hear the talented bands.
