Stunning Views of Empty Spaces
The trails are ready to be hiked and the views are ready to be photographed (Unlike the National or Provincial Parks you won't have to worry about bumping into 20 people on a trail, or paying an entrance fee). The David Thompson Corridor is a peaceful and inviting area to be discovered. This little hidden gem just off the Banff National Park and just a stone throws away from the Jasper National park is the path less travelled. Offering just a little more peace then the Parks and a little more breathing room, the David Thompson Corridor has it all. We've got amazing hikes with stunning views, big fish in our lakes, smooth and wide shoulders for biking, rock climbs of all grades and levels, lakes and rivers for all your needs. You can even hop on a horse and take to the outdoors and who knows maybe you'll even get a chance to see some of the amazing wildlife the area has to offer. For the easy does it crowd, Nordegg has the oldest golf course in Alberta. A perfect little 9 hole golf course with amazing views of the Rockies or you can even just hang out at the Hostel and enjoy the peace and quiet.
Families
This Hostel is rated 2nd best family Hostel to stay at. A meadow out front offers the perfect place to run about and burn off some energy. There is even a volleyball net set up out front to bump your way into laughter and fun. If it gets too hot, you can cool your feet in the cool waters of the Shunda Creek that runs right next to the Hostel. For families with even younger ones, Sunday to Thursday offers even more peace and quiet. We even have a variety of games and toys to occupy on rainy days.
July Family Special
From Sunday to Thursday during July come and bring your family out and get 20% off your stay.
Groups
Calling all groups! Shunda Creek Hostel and area is a hot spot for groups. It's the perfect place for hiking and all group planned activities with a little less competition than in the Park and no fees to pay.
If your group loves the great outdoors, we guarantee they'll love the David Thompson Corridor and we're only a few hours' drive from Edmonton. So come and get out of the city.
So pack your bottle of water, some energy bars and an extra pair of socks, because who knows what will be coming your way. Every day here is an adventure and an adventure you won't want miss.
