  • LUNCH:  il Vecchios (behind the bus station) or grab a Power Bar for the beach
  • SUPPER:  Theo's (687 Main St)
  • BOOK STORE:  The Book Shop (238 Main St) 
  • FESTIVAL:  Peach City Beach Cruise (June 26-28) I'll take you for a rip in my Chevelle!
  • PARK:  Lakawanna (Lakeshore Dr & Power St) - Great spot to watch everyone cruise by.
  • SUNNIEST SPOT:  Three Mile Beach - not the nude side! You do not want to see me naked...
  • WALK:  From the Art Gallery west along Okanagan Beach to the SS Sicamous
  • BIKE TRAIL:  KVR Trail (west of Okanagan Lake to the Summerland Research Station)
  • BEST DEAL:  Matinees at the Pen-Mar movie theatre - $5.00!  (361 Martin St)
  • SCENIC SPOT:  Top of Munson Mountain (Middle Bench Rd)
  • BEACH:  Three Mile - again, NOT the nude side, but whatever floats your boat.
  • WINERY:  Any of them, really! But the best is to grab a nice white and sit in the sun and let it all kick in!
  • A MUST-DO:  Sit on the beach and get some sun - everyone looks better with a tan!
  • A MUST-SEE:  Big luscious cherries and apricots - picked right off the tree!

  • LUNCH:  Il Vecchio ? such good sandwiches! (317 Robinson; behind the bus depot)
  • SUPPER:  Theo's, get the prawns in tomato sauce with feta...yum! (687 Main St)
  • BOOK STORE:  The Book Shop, for 35 cent comic books, perfect for the beach (238 Main St)
  • FESTIVAL:  Peach City Beach Cruise, cool-ass old cars (June 23 ? 25)
  • PARK:  Kiwanis Park, frisbee in summer, snowmen in winter (Edmonton Ave & Manitoba St)
  • SUNNIEST SPOT:  The Penticton Sign, Munson Mountain (Middle Bench Rd)
  • WALK:  east side of Skaha Lake, starting at Wright's campground. Pretty, lonely, quiet.
  • BIKE TRAIL:  KVR Trail above Naramata, go north to the Little Tunnel (access via Smethurst Rd)
  • BEST DEAL:  Empinadas at the Farmers' Market, Saturday mornings, May-October (100-block Main St)
  • SCENIC SPOT:  KVR Trail accessed from Vancouver Place, walk north 10 mins and see what I mean
  • BEACH:  Okanagan (buy onion rings at the foot of Power St)
  • WINERY:  Hillside, on Naramata Rd (order the crispy oysters)
  • A MUST SEE:  Remember Vinyl vintage record store, lots of Elvis Costello (Martin St at Nanaimo)
