HI-Tofino, Whalers on the Point Guesthouse is strategically located in downtown Tofino, just a few short blocks from all your amenities, with breathtaking views of the Clayoquot Sound. This is a unique place for your group, being located in the Clayoquot Sound, a world UNESCO biosphere reserve, and in close proximity to the Pacific Rim National Park and Long Beach.

Tofino offers an incredible way to experience BC’s pristine wildlife first hand. There are a large variety of activities available. Whale watching, surfing, kayaking, hiking, hot springs excursions, beach combing and fishing charters are just some of things your group can experience. There is a vast array of islands accessible by boat, close at hand. You can also experience First Nation’s culture first hand, at the Eagle Aerie Gallery, home to artist Roy Henry Vickers.

Accommodation

Whalers on the Point Guesthouse has a variety of 4 and 6 person rooms, with 2 or 3 sets of bunk beds, that are ideal for accommodating groups. For group leaders, small private rooms are also available. Please contact us and we will be happy to provide you with a quotation for your group.

IMPORTANT GROUP BOOKING INFORMATION

Hostelling International has extensive experience working with groups and we understand that groups need flexibility with their bookings. Please carefully review the following booking and cancellation policies to ensure a worry and problem free experience during your visit with us.

1. Reservation:

Please book your Group reservation early, as space can be quite limited.  A quotation and accommodation agreement will be sent to you for review. This must be signed and returned to Whalers on the Point Guesthouse, HI-Tofino, to confirm your reservation. Once the signed agreement has been received back, full Credit Card details along with a 50% deposit is required, to secure your reservation. The remaining balance in full is payable 14 days prior to check-in. Signing this document confirms that you accept the standard group cancellation policies.

2. Confirmation:

Once your signed agreement has been received, we will charge your credit card with the 50% deposit. We will then send you a confirmation of your reservation.

3. Payment:

The deposit is due when the booking is made. Your reservation must be prepaid in FULL, 14 days prior to the group's arrival at the hostel. Payments by Visa or MasterCard, are accepted.

4. Group Rooming List:

Fourteen (14) days prior to arrival, the group rooming list is also due.  The list should specify first and last names, gender, and any specific rooming requests.

5. Cancellations & Changes:

• Groups may cancel up to 21 days in advance of check-in with no penalty.
• Cancellations within 21 days forfeit the 50% deposit.
• Cancellations made 14 days or less before check-in date are 100% non-refundable. Cancellation will result in loss of the deposit, and the group will be charged the balance of all monies due.
• A maximum of 10% reduction in group size is acceptable fourteen (14) days prior to the date of arrival. Any request to increase the group size will try to be accommodated, subject to availability.
• Groups that do not show up for their booking, will not receive a refund.
