Outdoor Parks

Nearby the region around Victoria are loads of exceptional parks and wilderness for walking and hiking. The Juan de Fuca Marine Trail and West Coast Trail are world renowned. Watch Salmon Spawning at Goldstream Park from October to December. 


Beacon Hill Park

This park is a favourite among locals and is home to a petting zoo. From the park you can reach Dallas Road, which has a walking path along the coast, taking in a view of the Olympia Mountains. More information

Sidney by the Sea

A 35 minute drive or 45 minute bus ride from downtown will take you to the quaint town of Sidney (near Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal). Here you can stroll along the main street and waterfront or catch a boat over to Sidney Spit and enjoy its great beaches. More information

 

Whale Watching

A must whilst in town. The front desk staff are happy to book your Whale Watching tours for you. Not only will you see whales, but porpoises, seals, sea birds, otters and other wildlife are also often spotted on the tours.
